Winchester College Temporary Sports hall

The School’s PE Centre and indoor sporting facilities will undergo significant transformation and improvement over the next few years.

Phase 1 was completed just before Christmas with the completion of a Temporary Spacio Tempo sports hall with Gerflor Taraflex Anthracite sports flooring installed by Durant Cricket and lines painted by Biddle. Phase 2 has now started with the demolition of the existing PE Centre and the construction of the new Sports Centre, expected to open its doors in early 2022.

Considerable thought has been given to the continuity of sporting provision for boys during the period of construction. This project, which will bring an ancient school the most modern and exciting of facilities, has been planned for over many years.

Durant Cricket Ltd is an official supplier and installer of Gerflor’s Taraflex Sport M Comfort flooring having been trained directly at their French Technocentric. They also install indoor and outdoor cricket nets to ECB standards and are an official supporter of NatWest CriecketForce.
