Indoor Court Markings for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

“The small sportshall looks fantastic. It really does look like a new floor that has been laid. The process of arranging the refurbishment of the sportshall floor was smooth and without problems. The planning went well with very good communication with the contractor, Biddle Sports. They provided detailed prospective drawings, prior to commencement for us the approve. We were operating on a tight deadline, but Biddle Sports were very flexible and agreed to perform the works on a weekend to ensure that the flooring was ready for the start of term.

The markings are perfect for what we use, including unfamiliar line markings, such as Boccia and Kurling. The floor now looks brand new and we couldn’t be happier with it.

We utilise this room with our SEND pupils for our training sessions at Boccia, New age Kurling and Polybat. These training sessions then culminate with us competing at the Panathlon competitions. Historically we have been extremely successful at the Panathlon competitions, qualifying and progressing to the Regional competitions and being victorious on a number of occasions.

We also introduce our feeder schools to disability sporting opportunities and have had our Y6 students on their transition programme there.

If you have a sports hall and a gymnasium, you could add the SEND sports in the gym utilising a badminton court and reduced netball court by careful planning. It’s the perfect time to look at achieving a more flexible court layout when sanding and sealing a wooden floor. Court layout drawings are supplied in full colour and detail for your teachers and support staff to see what is possible. We are happy to share the information and knowledge to make SEND sports more available to all pupils.
