Sports Floor Plus breathes new life into ageing sports floors

Warlingham School had a 20 year old area elastic floor of foam and steel sheets with a 4mm linodur sport linoleum top surface that the school found now slippy and difficult to maintain. The undercarriage still offered excellent shock absorption and almost perfect sports floor characteristics so the solution was to update the top surface with Floor Remake.

We repaired the damages in the floor, cleaned and abraded the floor with Flexisand machinery, then applied 2 coatings of PU Color in RAL 5015 chosen by the school, set out and painted new court markings to the court marking drawing we prepared with the Head of PE and then applied the final 2 coatings of clear PU Sealer.

The Sports Floor Plus System improves the slip resistance and makes future cleaning easier. It extends the life of the floor, has a far lower carbon footprint and is 50% cheaper than a newly laid floor.
